Tiffin Elks Regatta

Registration is now available for the 2019 Regatta! The race will take place Sunday, August 18 at the Bel-Mar. This year’s race will benefit NOAH and the childrens’ summer food program.

 REMINDER – ONLY THE FOLLOWING MATERIALS CAN BE USED TO BUILD YOUR BOAT:

 ONE (1) SHEET OF 4’ x 8’ x 1/4″ THICK PLYWOOD

 TWO (2) 2 x 4’s x 8’ LONG

 ONE (1) 60 yd ROLL OF DUCT TAPE

 ONE (1) POUND FASTENERS

 NO GLUE OR CAULK

 PAINTING YOUR BOAT IS ENCOURAGED

 BOAT PILOTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO SIGN WAIVER OF LIABILITY, WEAR SHOES, AND HAVE A LIFE JACKET IN THE CRAFT. LIFE JACKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE.

 BOATS MUST BE REGISTERED BY 11:00 AM THE MORNING OF THE RACE (AUG, 18).

TEAMS ARE ENCOURAGED TO BRING A SET OF SAW HORSES TO PRESENT THEIR BOAT FOR JUDGING. A FEW WILL BE AVAILABLE FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. POP UP TENTS LAWN CHAIRS, ETC ARE ALLOWED

 NO CARS WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE PARKING LOT THIS YEAR. IT WILL BE USED FOR BOAT PRESENTATION AND RACE STAGING. BOATS MAY BE DROPPED OFF AT THE PARKING LOT ENTRANCE.

 NO COOLERS WILL BE ALLOWED AT THE EVENT.

 TEAMS WILL BE JUDGED FOR THEME AND TECHNICAL DESIGN AT NOON. ALL TEAM MEMBERS SHOULD BE AT THEIR BOATS FOR JUDGING
